Grading Scale for 50 Questions

Percent and letter grade for every score on a 50-question test.

On a 50-question test, each question is worth 2 points. This chart uses a standard plus/minus scale (A- at 90%, B- at 80%, C- at 70% and D- at 60%), so "an A" here means A- or better. Students need 45 right for an A, 40 for a B, 35 for a C and 30 for a D. They can miss 5 questions and still get an A, or 10 and still get a B.

  • A45+ rightA- or better
  • B40+ rightB- or better
  • C35+ rightC- or better
  • D30+ rightD- or better

At a glance

  • Every exact grade on the scale, from A down to F with each plus and minus, has a score that earns it.
  • Of the 51 possible scores, 6 scores earn an A, 5 a B, 5 a C, 5 a D and 30 an F.
  • The lowest score that isn't an F is 30 right (60%), a D-.
