Grading Scale for 25 Questions

Percent and letter grade for every score on a 25-question test.

On a 25-question test, each question is worth 4 points. This chart uses a standard plus/minus scale (A- at 90%, B- at 80%, C- at 70% and D- at 60%), so "an A" here means A- or better. Students need 23 right for an A, 20 for a B, 18 for a C and 15 for a D. They can miss 2 questions and still get an A, or 5 and still get a B.

  • A23+ rightA- or better
  • B20+ rightB- or better
  • C18+ rightC- or better
  • D15+ rightD- or better

At a glance

  • Some exact grades never come up on this test (C+), because each question moves the score 4 points.
  • Of the 26 possible scores, 3 scores earn an A, 3 a B, 2 a C, 3 a D and 15 an F.
  • The lowest score that isn't an F is 15 right (60%), a D-.
