Grading Scale for 5 Questions
Percent and letter grade for every score on a 5-question test.
On a 5-question test, each question is worth 20 points. This chart uses a standard plus/minus scale (A- at 90%, B- at 80%, C- at 70% and D- at 60%), so "an A" here means A- or better. Students need 5 right for an A, 4 for a B and 3 for a D. No score on a 5-question test lands on a C. They need a perfect score for an A, but can miss 1 question and still get a B.
- A5+ rightA- or better
- B4+ rightB- or better
- C–no score lands here
- D3+ rightD- or better
At a glance
- Some exact grades never come up on this test (A-, B+, B, C+, C, C-, D+ and D), because each question moves the score 20 points.
- Of the 6 possible scores, 1 score earns an A, 1 a B, 1 a D and 3 an F.
- The lowest score that isn't an F is 3 right (60%), a D-.
